Pizza Oven Installation Guide

A practical overview for preparing the base, lifting the oven and positioning it securely in its final outdoor location.

Plan the installation before delivery

Pizza ovens are extremely heavy. Installation and lifting should be completed by suitably experienced people using lifting equipment rated for the weight of the selected oven.

Confirm the oven dimensions, weight, access route, supporting base and local installation requirements before work begins.

Before you begin

Prepare the site, access route and equipment

The original installation guide outlines a four-stage process: preparing a supporting platform, attaching suitable lifting equipment, lowering the oven onto the base and completing the desired exterior finish.

The exact installation method may vary according to the oven model, property access, base design and lifting equipment available.

Confirm the oven’s dimensions and weight.

Plan access from the delivery point to the final position.

Prepare a level supporting platform suitable for the load.

Arrange appropriately rated lifting equipment and assistance.

Installation overview

Four stages of oven installation

Use this as a general overview alongside the information provided for your specific oven and installation site.

Step 01

Prepare the base

Build a level supporting platform

Prepare a strong, level and stable platform capable of supporting the oven’s weight. The original guide illustrates a concrete-block platform, but the final materials, engineering and dimensions should suit the selected oven and installation site.

Check before proceeding: The platform height should suit the intended cooking position, while its load capacity should be confirmed for the specific oven.
Step 02

Prepare for lifting

Attach suitable lifting equipment

The original guide refers to attaching heavy-duty chains or nylon lifting straps through the lifting eyelets located at the oven’s corners.

Use only equipment rated for the oven’s weight and suitable for the lifting method. Arrange an appropriately rated hoist, forklift, crane or other lifting solution operated by suitably experienced people.

Important: Inspect lifting points, straps, chains, hooks and machinery before lifting. Keep people clear of the suspended load.
Step 03

Position the oven

Lower the oven onto the prepared base

Position the oven directly over the prepared platform and lower it slowly under controlled conditions. Keep the oven stable and aligned throughout the movement.

Confirm that the oven is fully supported, level and correctly positioned before removing the lifting equipment.

Safety note: Do not stand beneath the suspended oven and do not rely on uncontrolled swinging or momentum to position it.
Step 04
Completed outdoor pizza oven installation on a finished supporting base

Complete the installation

Finish the base and surrounding area

Once the oven is securely positioned, complete the supporting base and exterior finish according to the planned design.

Depending on the installation, the base may remain exposed or be finished with render, stone, tile or another suitable material.

Before use: Review the curing, ventilation, clearance and operating information provided for the selected oven.
